A Two-Time World Sporting Clays Champion
If you did a quick internet search on Dave Fjelline, you would learn more than you need to know about his prior career as a professional mountain lion tracker and trapper here in Northern California. An adept hunter and expert outdoorsman, Fjelline's cougar depredation gained plenty of attention back in the 90's when legislation changed the classification of mountain lions from game mammals to specially protected mammals.
Fjelline has since retired that life but has no plans on ever leaving the gun world.
The Shooter:
Ken Nichols has enjoyed shooting and hunting since being a young teenager. Ken possesses a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Molecular Biology and has worked in the field of Biotechnology and education for over 20 years.
In 2002, while temporarily unemployed, he worked at a local club trapping for all of the shotgun sports and was immediately hooked. He joined the NSCA and became certified as an NSCA instructor. Ken became serious about competing in sporting clays in 2009 with limited success. Determined, he started seeing success in 2010 moving to C-class. In 2011 the US Open was to be held at M&M Sporting Clays… within driving distance of his home.
