These terms apply when you use GaugeMate, the app and this website, run by GaugeMate (“we”). By using GaugeMate you agree to them.
Your records are yours
The rain records you enter belong to you. You can download them as Excel or PDF at any time. You let us store and show them so the app can work, including to the Mates you share gauges with.
Free to use
Entering rain, your full history, the charts, and Excel and PDF downloads are free. If we ever offer optional paid extras, we’ll say so clearly first, and these free parts stay free.
Using GaugeMate fairly
- Use your own mobile number, and keep your phone secure.
- Only invite people you trust to gauges, and only share records you’re allowed to share.
- Don’t misuse the app, try to reach other people’s records, or send spam through it.
Rainfall information
GaugeMate shows the readings you and your Mates enter. Totals, averages and charts are only as accurate as those readings. They’re for your own records and aren’t official weather data.
Keeping things running
We work hard to keep GaugeMate available and your records safe, with daily backups and a nightly copy kept separately. We may change or improve the app over time. Sometimes it may be unavailable for a short while.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses from using GaugeMate.
Changes and contact
